Just a few recommendations for food while in Copenhagen. 
My all time favourite restaurant - Höst - does new Nordic food.

Grab a beer at mikkeller bar before hand. The restaurant Noma has used them, I'm sure you'll love it!

For a different type of Danish food experience try going to Nose to Tail.  Yes they serve everything from the nose to tail of pork products. Mmm.

If you're in the meat packing district I would either recommend the burger from Tommi's burger Joint, or some
BBQ from war pigs.

If your wanting something quite local, I would recommend eating at a wine bar.  I particularly like ravnsborg vinstue in Norrebro.

I really do think you should explore Copenhagen Street Food on Paper Island. The fries double fried in duck fat are as good as it sounds.  And remember to have a look at the smørrebrod at Torvehallerne.  ​
